This crafty little fish will be happy swimming around in your bedroom or your classroom! It's a great preschool or kindergarten class activity where everyone can show off their individuality while still being part of the "school."
Materials needed:
pop bottle, scissors or a knife (for adult to use!), sharpie or other, permanent marker, white glue, craft paint and brushes, stapler, string and thumb tack for hanging

1. Have an adult help you cut the bottom off of a large 2 liter pop bottle.
2. Using your permanent marker draw the face and fins on your fish on the outside of the bottle.
3. Mix some white glue and paint together. The more paint you put the harder it will be for light to pass through. The more glue you put the more transparent it will dry. (The glue helps the paint stick to the plastic!)
4. Using a paint brush paint the inside of the decorated pop bottle.

5. When the paint is dry, poke a hole in the plastic and attach a string to the inside top of the fish.
6. Use a stapler in 2 places to close the plastic together where the tail meets the body.

7. Use the scissors again to make cuts to show the shape of the tail.
8. Use the string and tack to hang the fish from your ceiling! Hang it in front of a window if you used a high glue ratio, and it will catch the sunlight!
You can make a whole school of fish and create an underwater theme for your bedroom!
What else could you use to make your room feel like its underwater?
