Get ready for the next round of Sweet Divalicious Sample Boxes, which are full of an eclectic mix of delectable goodies for the discerning diva. A delightful and dynamic duo of self-proclaimed divas launched a new business venture this past March that caters to divas just like them—women who work hard and are successful yet, enjoy wallowing in luxurious pleasures.
Robin and Penny are sisters who enjoy working together and believe that the dynamic between them enhances their productivity. They create handmade soap, bath fizzies, and other divalicious items sold online at Sweet Delight Bath and Body Treats . They also write and edit Delightful Divas in Business, DDIB, a blog devoted to promoting, connecting, and inspiring independent business women in the world of handmade. But that wasn’t enough…
A little over a year ago, the suggestion of offering sample boxes was made by several members of Robin and Penny’s DDIB forum. The lure of such a challenge combined with their personal infatuation with shopping, their passion for all things handmade, and their burning desire to promote other independent business divas, made the project irresistible, and Voila! Sweet Divalicious Sample Boxes was born.
Their sample box campaign appeals to a target audience of savvy shoppers throughout the USA and Canada, who love to try before they buy. Buying a box full of sample-sized and sometimes full-sized products, the shopper receives a variety of "glam, girly, and gorgeous" handmade items to test. Often, some of the contributing handmade E-tailers include coupon codes or discounts for the shop
per to enjoy.
Robin and Penny’s Divalicious Sample Boxes go on sale bi-monthly (every 2nd month) and usually sell out quickly. Shopping divas can preview the list of participating artists, see a description of each item, and click on links to the artists' online shops on the Peek Inside The Box page. Information about the artists and their products is updated as the samples from each business arrive at their office in New Brunswick, Canada during the month prior to the box going on sale. The exact date for the September campaign will soon be announced on their website’s calendar page.
Becoming a contributor gives the business owner an opportunity to have their product delivered directly into the hands of hundreds of curious shopping divas thus increasing the likelihood of a future sale. They are also likely to experience an increase in website traffic and improved search engine rankings as a result of their shop’s presence on the Sweet Divalicious Sample Boxes website.
Contributors to the sample boxes must be independent business owners who sell their own handcrafted products or items online. It does not matter if they sell through a venue like ArtFire or Etsy, or through their own website. Interested sellers can send Robin and Penny an email expressing their interest in participating in a future campaign and the Diva Duo will respond promptly with further details.
This idea, which came from within the DDIB online community of artists, has mushroomed into a successful endeavor which matches independent business divas (sellers) with handmade seeking divas (buyers) resulting in a win-win situation that delights all.
