This week, as promised, we'll be talking about coupon codes for Artfire Verified Sellers. The soft launch was the weekend of Friday, August 28th and the hard launch was Monday, August 31. Artfire has had a very successful week in bringing out the Artfire Kiosk for Facebook users and now at last the much anticipated coupon code system! Many Artfire sellers are very excited about this major accomplishment and blogging about this new feature.
A complete coupon code reference guide on how to use these codes has proved very handy for answering questions about the codes and shows you in depth how the codes work for you. A how to guide for actually making the codes complete with screen shots is located on the Creating and Managing Coupon Codes page.
With this amazing tool you can offer your customers special deals such as free shipping, % off of total, % off of total equaling “X” dollars...you can set it to be pretty much anything you can dream up. You can also have special codes just for your Twitter followers, Facebook fans, Mailing list subscribers, and so on.
Coupon codes can help generate a lot of interest in your shop. Everyone loves a deal and people are out there looking for codes to use, especially as the holiday season approaches. You can post them in forums, on your blog, or take advantage of the handy widgets Artfire has provided to display your generated coupon codes. You can choose from 4 different “looks” for your widget and you can put it anywhere that allows HTML, such as your MySpace page, your Artfire Studio and your blog! This handy feature can be accessed through the “Manage My Coupons” section under the Coupon codes/gift certificates link in “My Artfire”. You will see the links to the left side of your codes to post the code on Twitter, email the coupon or generate a widget (the wheel icon). You can also see how many times each coupon has been used when looking at your "Manage My Coupons" section.
Artfire has also provided a gift certificate option to go along with the coupon codes. You can generate a gift certificate and the Artfire checkout system treats it like real money when your customer goes to use it. You simply enter the recipients name and email address, fill out the rest of the details, you’re done! You can offer these in your shop, or if you wish you can give them as gifts. Make this a prize on your next blog giveaway! This will make the holiday gift giving season even easier. Everyone wants to give a unique gift, so give or sell a gift certificate and let the gift recipient choose what they want from your shop.
One word of warning; watch carefully how you make the code because it could be possible for someone to “stack” the codes and end up with a free item shipped on the house. Although you can have up to 30, I would advise to not have too many codes in force at any given time. While making your coupon codes, visualize how the code would be used in a real life sale in each step of the code making process.
In closing, Artfire has amazed and excited us this past week and successfully revolutionized the way we sell online. As an Artfire seller myself I want to thank the hard working group of talented people who have made the Artfire Kiosk for Facebook, Coupon Codes and Gift Certificates more than just something we all long for. This is now reality and from the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank you Artfire! And to my readers, best of sales luck with your new toys courtesy of Artfire.com!
