Teddy Bear Zipper Pull - A Kids' Craft Project
As most of you are aware there are “national holidays” for just about every day of the year. Some are a bit odd, but here’s a really cute one. Teddy Bear Day is September 9th. In celebration of this much beloved little creature I thought a teddy bear themed craft was in order. As it’s also back to school time for just about everyone, I thought this would be a great little addition to a new/old backpack.
Teddy Bear Zipper Pull
Suggested Ages: 5-10
Time Needed: 30 minutes
Supplies:
* 8 Pom Poms in 3 different sizes:
1 Large one for the Body, 1 Medium one for the Head and 6 Small ones for arms, legs & face
* 1 small black bead (could also use a tiny pom pom) for the nose
* 2 tiny googly eyes
* 1 large lobster claw clasp
* Tacky Glue (dries faster)
* String or yarn
* Ribbon, Small Flowers
Directions:
1. Glue the large and medium pom poms together. These will form the head and body.
2. Using 2 small pom poms glue the arms onto the body.
3. Next using the tiny pom pom or bead glue on the nose. Then glue on the 2 googly eyes.
4. Glue on 2 small pom poms for the legs.
5. Next glue on the remaining 2 small pom poms for the ears. Feel free to make your teddy bear a bit fancier by adding tiny bows or flowers!
6. The last step is to use the string or yarn to attach the teddy bear to the lobster claw.
Attach your cute new teddy bear zipper pull to the zipper on your backpack.
