As small businesses we are always looking for new ways to promote our items, some of them can be a little tiresome others we have a bit of fun when we get into them.
If you haven't already heard of it Polyvore is one of the fun ways to promote your crafts and find great items too. They have a database full of products to catch your eye and adding your own is just a click away. You can upload them via URL or add the toolbar to clip items to the Polyvore pool while browsing.
The fun comes in when you get on the site and make a set. Choose your items by going through the search and drag them into the editor. You can arrange them in any way that takes your fancy why not pick out your favourite colours or look for things that cover the latest trends. Use your own items and add others.
If you make items that can be worn why not make a set that shows your item off with other coordinating pieces. Show off home decor in a room setting or add supplies to a set that includes some finished products that people could make with your offerings.
You can join groups and submit your sets to them as well for further exposure. If you are an Artfire seller come along to the Artfire Group and share your findings from the site.
One of the best parts to polyvore is when someone is browsing your set they can click on the items and get the link of where to purchase it. Other people can use your items to make their sets increasing your exposure even more. If the creative fun of the site isn't your cup of tea still upload your images to get them seen by those that will have hours of fun arranging beautiful items as wishlists, trend information and fun pictures.
