ArtFire
ArtFire has started work redesigning their Art Daily News Blog, which currently hosts the weekday updates and Featured Artisan Spotlights. Once the redesign is complete, not only will Art Daily be more visually appealing, it will also feature columns from different departments of ArtFire. This includes a column for SEO updates, one for SMO tips, one for tech news, and even a column from the President of ArtFire. Read more about this redesign here.
ArtFire is also promoting Delphi’s Art Glass Festival, which contains online and offline components. Artists are welcome to submit any kind of glass art via an online forum, or they can submit pieces in person to the Delphi Creativity Center in Lansing, Michigan. DaWanda
For their latest weekly interview, DaWanda featured hit jewelry seller Karlita. DaWanda has also posted a new Product of the Day: The amazing multi-functional Snuggle Bunny. These bunnies can be used as a toy, a blanket, or even to comfort teething infants.
Etsy
Etsy has posted yet another Postcard from Europe with Matt and Bendikta, who just visited the Internationale Handwerksmesse, an international arts celebration in Munich. This postcard includes coverage of a few of the interesting pieces they saw there. They’ve also announced the date of their next Europe Meet-up, Wednesday, March 17 in Munich.
To lead up to the official opening of their Berlin Office on April 1st, Etsy is going Euro from March 22 until March 27th. During this time, they’ll be celebrating European artisans of Etsy with special emails, treasuries, featured sellers, events, and information on doing business globally.
Etsy has reported the results of their Storque survey conducted earlier this year and have posted a thorough analysis. Get the details here. Etsy has also posted its February statistics. The dollar amount of goods sold increased by 1%, although the number of goods sold decreased by 1% since January. New listings decreased by 7%, and new members decreased by 3%. Year-over-year, however, the dollar amount for goods sold increased by 96%, and items sold increased by 74%.
Folksy
Folksy’s Featured items for the Week were all themed for St Patrick’s Day, which falls on Thursday, March 17th, this year. Folksy seller Niche has also organized an Easter treasure Hunt, in which contestants need only browse through Folksy to find the shops where the Easter Treasure is hidden. Winners (announced April 5th) will be able to win one of three goody bags filled with £100 worth of Folksy items.
Zibbet
Today in Zibbet’s blog, Zibbet seller Gillauna posted an article on the Difference between Customer Service and Mail Fraud. They’ve also posted another Featured Zibbeter Interview with Poocheze, who creates and sells dog treats. Columnist Crissy Herron has also posted a short piece full of ideas for Celebrating National Craft Month.
